PDF size reducer: compress PDF to your KB limit

Quick answer

To reduce a PDF's file size, open Quick resize, enter the maximum KB your upload allows, and add your PDF or scans. TravelPrepKit compresses the pages on your device and shows the result before a paid download. A smaller file still needs readable text.

Compress a PDF to 100 KB, 200 KB, 300 KB or 500 KB

In Quick resize, choose your requirements and set the file size limit in KB. Set 100, 200, 300 or 500 KB, or choose a larger limit up to 10 MB. Source files can be up to 25 MB each. These are compression targets you select, not upload requirements for every application. Follow the limit shown by your portal.

Add the pages you need, put them in order, and prepare the file. The tool checks the final byte size against your cap. If a readable file cannot fit, use a clearer scan, remove only pages the application does not require, or review the portal's permitted alternatives. A download stays blocked while the file exceeds its limit.

Reduce file size without losing the information you need

  • Check the smallest text

Zoom into names, dates, document numbers, stamps and passport machine-readable lines in the final preview. A small byte count alone does not make an acceptable document.

  • Keep required pages

Combine JPG photos and existing PDF pages in the order the application asks for. A size cap applies to the finished file, so adding pages leaves less room for each scan.

  • Understand the trade-off

Strong compression can lower image resolution and turn PDF pages into images. Searchable text, links, editable fields and digital signatures are not guaranteed to survive. Keep the original; use the prepared copy for a scan-style upload.

  • Review page layout

Quick resize offers page-size settings. Check the final preview for rotation, margins and clipping, even when you choose to keep the original page size.

Questions

Is a PDF size reducer the same as a PDF compressor?

Yes, when you mean reducing the file's KB or MB size. Changing the paper dimensions alone is different. TravelPrepKit checks the final file's byte size against the limit you choose.

Can I compress a PDF to 300 KB for an India e-Visa?

Use the India e-Visa PDF preset for its published 10–300 KB passport bio-page requirement. It also checks the format and prepares upright A4 pages. The related guide links to the government source.

Will every PDF fit without losing quality?

No. The result depends on the number of pages, scan quality and requested cap. Strong compression can reduce image detail. Review every page and keep your original; do not submit a blurry document just to meet the size limit.

Can I convert JPG scans to PDF and reduce the size together?

Yes. Add your photos or scans, order the pages and prepare one compressed PDF. You can also combine them with pages from existing PDFs.

Is the PDF download free?

Checking and previewing are free; downloading the prepared PDF is paid. Review the prepared result, then purchase that PDF output. Repeat downloads of the same available purchased output are free.
