UAE photo and document requirements

Quick answer

UAE file requirements depend on the service and filing provider. Select that context before choosing photo dimensions, formats or size limits.

Public guidance. Choose your authority and service first; photo and document requirements differ. Confirm file limits in your actual upload field.

  1. 1. Check the photo

Use a recent, clear photo. Compare the background, lighting and face position with ICP’s guidance.

  2. 2. Use the overseas-worker checklist

For this MOHRE service, the employer supplies the photo, passport and signed offer, plus any evidence required for the job and nationality.

Choose the right service

An entry visa, work permit, residence permit and Emirates ID are separate government services. Your employer, sponsor, airline or free zone may request different evidence for each.

Choose a UAE task, then confirm the actual recipient. Use your own upload instructions when an exact field has not been verified.

What the public sources establish

ICP describes recent, clear, front-facing photographs with a white background, visible eyes and a neutral expression. This guidance does not establish one digital pixel size or byte limit for all UAE services.

A size published by one free zone or provider is not a universal UAE requirement. Check whether your instructions describe print size or digital pixels; the tool labels its export choices separately from published limits.

Questions

Are these files guaranteed to be accepted?

We prepare files to the selected instructions. The authority or provider reviews the application, and unpublished upload fields still need confirmation.

Do I need every document before preparing my photo?

No. Choose only the files you need to prepare now. Missing official evidence remains a separate application step.
