Quick answer

A work permit or labour card is an employment service. It is separate from your residence permit and Emirates ID; ask your employer which files and permit category they need.

MOHRE overseas recruitment

The overseas service requests a clear colour photograph on white, a passport copy and the Ministry job offer signed by both employer and worker.

Passport copy, valid for at least six months.

Skill levels 1–2: bachelor’s degree or higher; 3–4: diploma or higher; 5: high-school certificate; 6–9: no academic certificate required for this service.

For Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran: a valid, clear copy of both sides of the home-country national ID.

A professional licence is relevant where the occupation requires it. The employer confirms the category and submits the application.

Other employers and categories

A free-zone employer follows its named provider. Transfer, renewal, family-sponsored and other work permits have separate checklists. Confirm the instructions for your category instead of reusing overseas-service upload limits.

Questions

Are these files guaranteed to be accepted?

We prepare files to the selected instructions. The authority or provider reviews the application, and unpublished upload fields still need confirmation.

Do I need every document before preparing my photo?

No. Choose only the files you need to prepare now. Missing official evidence remains a separate application step.
