Private passport and visa photo preparation
Quick answer
TravelPrepKit resizes, compresses and prepares photo backgrounds on your device. Processing keeps selected files on this device; optional account saving and transfers between devices remain separate choices.

Resize a passport or visa photo on your device
Choose the photograph from the device you are using. TravelPrepKit runs the face checks, crop, resizing, background preparation and compression on your device. Pending finished files are encrypted on this device, with metadata-only purchase verification before download. Files are not sent to a third-party AI service.
For photo preparation, select the photograph and review its protected preview before purchase. Leave Save finished files to my account off and avoid pickup codes or the phone camera link, which transfer files between devices. Creating an account alone does not enable account saving, but an account with saving already enabled will save future unlocked outputs.
Keep dimensions, file size and background correct together
Choose your application
India e-Visa, OCI and Indian passport photos have different requirements. Open the relevant source-linked guide or enter the dimensions and file limit your own authority publishes.
Check dimensions and KB separately
Pixel dimensions describe the crop and image resolution. KB or MB describes the file's byte size. A compressed image can still have the wrong shape or dimensions.
Review the background and your face
Use the background your application asks for and inspect the final preview, including hair edges and face detail. A passing file-size check cannot establish recency, expression or government acceptance.
Preview before paying
Checking and previewing are free. A prepared download is paid. Keep the original and retake a blurred or strongly shadowed photo when a clear result cannot be prepared.
What happens if you choose account saving or a device transfer?
Account saving uploads finished, unlocked photos, PDFs or print sheets when you enable it. Those account copies are encrypted at rest. Originals and unfinished edits stay local. Turning saving off stops future uploads; it does not delete copies already saved. Delete existing copies from Saved files if you no longer want them stored.
Pickup codes and the phone camera link use a separate transfer service. Files are encrypted on your device before transfer, and the server receives the encrypted bytes without the decryption key. A photo file still leaves your device when you choose a transfer. Keep transfer codes private.
Photo privacy and ordinary website data
Keeping photo files local does not mean the website has no network traffic. The browser downloads the website and processing models. Accounts and purchases use their own services; payments are handled by Stripe without receiving your photo or document. Optional analytics runs only with consent and does not receive photographs, documents or form contents.
Your browser can hold recovery copies of originals and scans. The privacy notice explains local recovery, expiry, clearing browser data and deleting saved account copies. A local download remains wherever you save it, including any device folder you have chosen to sync to a cloud service.
Questions
Can TravelPrepKit keep my photos fully private?
Checking and preparation run locally without uploading selected files. Pending outputs are encrypted on your device. Only output metadata and encrypted keys are held on our server, with checkout keys retained for up to seven days. Accounts, payments and consented analytics have separate data flows explained in the privacy notice.
Can I resize and compress a passport photo without uploading it?
Yes. TravelPrepKit crops, resizes and compresses the photograph on your device. Choose the right application preset or enter your authority's dimensions and KB limit, leave optional saving and transfers off, and review the prepared result.
Does changing a photo background send it to a remote AI service?
It runs locally in your browser using downloaded models. The photograph is not uploaded for processing. Pending outputs are encrypted on this device, with server-verified payment before ordinary download.
Does signing in automatically upload my photos?
Creating an account alone does not enable account saving. If you have enabled Save finished files to my account, future unlocked outputs are saved online. Turn it off to stop future optional account copies; on-device processing does not upload your originals. Turning it off does not delete existing account copies.
Is private photo preparation the same as working offline?
No. Photo processing happens on your device, but the browser needs to load the website and its processing models. Account features and checkout also use the network. This guide does not promise a first visit or purchase can work offline.
